Q: How does Fit & Fold help fold my fitted sheet?
A: Over 188,000 web hits teach you, basically, the same method that allows you to fold a fitted sheet flat. To do so, you need to tuck the bottom left corner into the top left corner. Then you have to tuck the bottom right corner into the top right corner. After that, you have to straighten out the sheet neatly.
It's a pain to 1) find the sheet corners 2) determine which is left and right side of the sheet, 3) tuck the right corners and the left corners into each other and 4) smooth out the wrinkles after having done so. Fit & Fold makes this process easy.
Q: How does Fit & Fold help me make my bed?
A: If a fitted sheet were square and your mattress were square, any sheet corner could be put on any corner of your mattress. Unfortunately, fitted sheets and mattress are variations of a rectangle. This means that there is always a short side and a long side to your fitted sheet and mattress. Each of the Fit & Fold snaps are labeled either Top Right/Bottom Right/Top Left/Bottom Left. Fit & Fold helps you always know which sheet corner goes where on your mattress.
Q: Does Fit & Fold help keep my fitted sheet on my mattress?
A: In a sense, yes. By placing the correct sheet corner onto the mattress, it is far less likely that your fitted sheet will pop off your mattress.
Q: When applying Fit & Fold to my sheet, which buttons go where?
A: The good news is that this will be the very last time you have to figure out which is the top and which is the bottom of your sheet.
The two buttons with the pull tags go to the Top Left and Top Right Corners of your sheet. The two buttons without the pull tags go on the bottom corners.
Spread out your sheet (face up) on your bed. Look to the top left corner and attach the pull tag button/green (top left) snap. Move to the top right corner. Attach the pull tag button/blue (top right) snap. Now, go to the bottom right corner. Attach the button/blue (bottom right) snap and, finally, do the same for the bottom left corner of your fitted sheet.
Q: To what location on the sheet do I attach Fit & Fold?
A: On every fitted sheet, there is a seam located at each corner. The seam begins at the elastic band and ends about six to eight inches above that. Each Fit & Fold is to be placed at the exact point where the seam ends.
Q: I made a mistake and, when applying, I put the buttons on the wrong corners. What should I do?
A: That's okay! Use a butter knife or similar object to pop the colored snap from the button. You can easily reapply them in their correct position.
Q: How do I attach Fit & Fold to each corner?
A: Notice that the colored snap have a pin with a rounded corner. Take the pin and go to the underside of your sheet. Place the pin at the correct position (see "To what location on the sheet do I attach Fit & Fold") and push up. Hold it there and pull the sheet tight around it. Do NOT pierce your sheet. On the top side of the sheet, you can see the shape of the pin (the sheet will be gathered around it). The bottom of the button has a hole. Place the button hole over the pin. Fit & Fold is now safely attached to your sheet.
Q: Is Fit & Fold going to damage my sheet?
A: No ! We designed Fit & Fold to not pierce or tear your sheet.
Q: What are the pull tags for?
A: The pull tags are really a communication tool for you. After you have connected the green and the blue snaps together, you can flip the sheet in two directions--in the direction that reveals the button with the pull tag or in the direction without the pull tag. In order to fold the fitted sheet correctly, you have to flip it consistently in the same direction (either both sides are flipped in the direction that reveals the pull tag or both sides have to be flipped in the direction that reveals the buttons without the pull tag). The pull tag is like a marker that reminds you do flip the sheet consistently in the same direction.
Also, the pull tags will also help you to understand which is the top of the sheet and which is the bottom of the sheet (without having to read the labels on the snaps located on the underside of your sheet). Remember, the buttons with the pull tags are at the top of your sheet and the buttons without the pull tags are at the bottom of your sheet.
Q: Do I keep Fit & Fold on when I wash my sheet?
A: Yes ! Fit & Fold was designed to stay on in the washer and dryer. But, like with any linen, it is not best to use an extremely high heat temperature on your dryer setting.
Q: Is Fit & Fold forever on my fitted sheet?
A: No ! Fit & Fold can be easily removed from your fitted sheet. If you are, for example, ready to get rid of your fitted sheet, you can remove Fit & Fold and use it on another set.
Q: How do I remove Fit & Fold from my sheet?
A: On the side of each button in the plastic, there is a small, curved hole. Insert a butter knife or a similar object into the hole. Twist the butter knife and the button will pop off your sheet--separating the snap from the button itself.
Q: When I tried to separate the colored snaps from each other, the button became dislodged from my sheet.
A: You might want to make sure that you don't try and separate the colored snaps from each other right after they have come out of the dryer (when they are still warm). If the button becomes dislodged from your sheet, you can easily reattach it. Next time, when separating the snaps from each other, don't pull on the sheet to separate them--pull from the colored snaps, holding them in your fingers.
